Strolling along the beach, sunbathing on a sun lounger, enjoying the fresh sea air, soaking up every ray of the warm sun and casually sipping the pleasantly sweet and refreshing water from a freshly plucked young coconut. Sound like a dream? It doesn't have to be! We may not be taking you to Thailand, but we've brought a piece of Thailand to you!
We lovingly grow high quality young coconuts for you on small Thai farms. Once harvested, they go into the hands of local coconut masters who shave some of the husk off the coconuts. This is to make their transportation and subsequent opening with a chisel or coconut pick easier. Shortly after this treatment, the coconut makes its way to the Czech Republic, where it stops briefly at our warehouse. There, we pack it gently, add it to the package with other goodies and the coconut then makes its way to you to bring you joy and refreshment.
Coconut water, of which each coconut contains approximately 300-400 ml, is a precious natural liquid full of nutrients. It boasts a mineral content led by potassium, phosphorus, sodium and magnesium, making it a unique ionic and hydrating drink. It is also rich in polyphenols, which are antioxidants that have a beneficial effect on our entire body.
Coconut pulp, contained in each coconut in quantities of about 100-150 g, is also a good source of polyphenols. The flesh of young coconut also contains high levels of the prebiotic fibre galactomannan, which is an excellent nutrient for the probiotic bacteria in the human gut that contribute to a healthy gut microbiome.
This coconut is raw (without high temperature treatment) but not organic.
