Buckwheat flakes are made by pressing buckwheat groats. It is a naturally gluten-free and easily digestible food. They are a rich source of complex carbohydrates, but also fibre, which contributes to proper digestion and helps regulate blood sugar levels. They also contain valuable vitamins, especially B and E vitamins, and minerals such as magnesium, potassium, iron and phosphorus. Buckwheat is anti-inflammatory and a great source of rutin.

You can conjure up many healthy dishes with buckwheat flakes. We recommend sweet or savoury buckwheat porridge with fruit and nuts or fresh vegetables for breakfast. Buckwheat is only cooked really briefly, just about 3 minutes under the lid. It is also great as a side dish scented with herbs or as an ingredient in soups, smoothies, meatballs or spreads.
